About the event

Check the end for terms and conditions, by booking you are agreeing to them.

This workshop is for 4 attendees maximum for full day  with 3 models (2 female 1 male) or minimum 2 attendees for half day with  one model.

As I have been ask enough times if we shoot in studio to  gain experience with lights I decided to organize a one day intensive  studio day for those who wish to get enough knowledge to organize their  own studio shoot afterwards or come confidently to one of our other  studio shoots.

Shooting in studio might sound intimidating but let me  tell you that shooting outdoors to achieve a particular look is way more  difficult as in studio you have much more control.

Let's demistify the studio and go trough all kind of lights and  modifiers, you will see that is easier that it seems, the difficult part  is to train your eye to see the difference and that's is what we will  do.

Most important is that you learn to see the light, how  you achieve a look is secondary (technical), knowing what you want to  achieve is primary.

We will go trough the following, without much talking as  is all hands on practice, going trough all those points by shooting it  in turns, you get to try it all at least once and you will handle the  equipment too:

- Natural light, reflectors, difussion, bounce and negative fill. -Flash, how they work, starting with soft light modifiers. -Flash harsh light modifiers -Flash, shape and control light. -LED continous lighting, advantages and disadvantages -Colour lights using gels -If there is time left at the end we can try what you want or take further questions.

What you need to bring: You will most likely need spare batteries (if you dont have, bring the charger with you) Lens suggestions, ideally a 24-70mm, for smaller bridge cameras the kit  lens is just fine, as the studio is small you wont need telephoto  lenses, sweet spot is around 35mm focal lenght.

Looking forward to it!
